Michael Deffendall

Chairman
Michael Deffendall

Michael moved to San Antonio in 2006. An Army retiree with 21 years of active and reserve service and lifelong Republican. The political activist bug bit in the 2014 primary while attempting to attend a precinct convention. Finding no one there, he decided to hold one anyway and submitted the paperwork for his convention of one. He subsequently served on the senatorial district Credentials committee and its convention, followed with a nomination as a delegate to the state convention. He has served as an Election Judge and in June 2014, was appointed to fill the vacant position of Precinct Chair. He is an active member of local Republican clubs, Commissioner Precinct and County Executive meetings. He and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for 23 years.

Jack Palmer

Treasurer
Jack Palmer

Jack moved to San Antonio from Austin in 1999 after growing up in different parts of central and east Texas. His background is in fine arts and design but he mostly makes a living building websites and programming for multimedia installations. In recent years, his focus has turned to gardening, raising koi fish and chickens and practicing permaculture. Although only recently engaged in politics, he hopes to help the RLC restore much needed focus on our nation's core principles while increasing individual liberty and freedom.
